Pets name: Bentley
Area: Bristol
Bentley's story:
Back in 2016, a family from Bristol woke up one day to realise their cat, Bentley, had gone missing from their home. The keepers had Bentley microchipped which offered them some hope but didn't want to waste any time and began to place posters in the local area. They figured that Bentley had wandered too far from his usual areas and unfortunately was unable to make his way home. Despite no positive sightings from the posters, the microchip they had implanted paid off as he was taken to a vet and scanned for his keeper's details. This meant that Bentley was back in his home in no time and now tends to stay indoors a little more often after his recent experience.
Bentley was well fed whilst he was away from his keepers which meant that he did not lose too much weight and was very healthy upon his reunification. With help from his microchip, Bentley was able to be reunited within four weeks. This is why the keepers urge others to ensure their pets are microchipped, as it can be the crucial difference in you being reunited with your pet.
Keep your details up to date
Keeping your pet's information up to date is crucial for increasing the chances of finding them if they get lost.
To simplify this process, we offer a Petlog Premium package which provides various benefits for a one-time fee of £19.95. This package enables pet owners to easily update their records as many times as needed throughout their pet's life. Considering that this amounts to less than £2 per year, the cost is minimal compared to the peace of mind it offers. By taking advantage of this offer, you significantly improve the probability of your beloved pet being safely reunited with you if it goes missing.
Microchipping will be a legal requirement for cats in England from 10 June 2024 and owners must register and keep contact details up to date on a microchipping database. If your cat is registered with Petlog, please check your details are up to date now.
If you haven’t created an online account with us since our March 2021 website upgrade, please do this before 10 June 2024.
